Staff were friendly and engaging. Food was horrific. Ordered a seafood chowder and the "special"mushroom soup and sandwich for lunch as we were driving through Souris. Both soups tasted like they were out of a can and tasted like flour. Nothing more than paste. The ham in the sandwich was so thin it only had one side! Would I stop there again? Not if that kitchen staff is still employed there. This is a seaside community so why all the processed food preparation? You want to stay in business, find a manager that wants the same result.
Great food and service. Family friendly, right on the bay within a few minutes walk of the lighthouse and ferry. Cold brew ice coffee was excellent as was everything else. Can't wait to come back.
We eat here usually 2x/ month. It's quite busy in the summer, near the ferry with a great view of the harbor, can cause a long wait. It's nice sitting outside in the summer. Local beer selection is Upstreet and others, yummy - I love the Commons and the Ruby Social. The wings can be had naked, which saves a lot of needless carbs, and we love them. The menu is probably much bigger than it needs to be, and thus I think some items suffer because this. The food over all is pretty good, pub-grub, about right for the location and casualness of the place. On some days I would give it 4 stars, but average is more like 3.5 stars. I cannot say I've ever had anything terrible there. Most often is average to good.
Great service. Excellent eats. Our kids were happy. One opted out of the kids menu and choose a cup of seafood chowder (we told her it was chicken) she loved it.
Came here for our final dinner before heading home tomorrow. Simple place with great food and excellent service. We enjoyed ourselves and had a great time having some conversations with local people.
